Draft and proofread correspondence and legal documents.
Manage legal databases and information systems; manage, organize and maintain documents in paper or electronic filing systems. Identify, summarize and document material terms and key dates in executed agreements.
Track and manage internal and external client communication.
Provide general administrative assistance to not only General Counsel, but the rest of the executive team, including but not limited to document assembly, calendar management, dealing with mail/courier, and other duties as assigned.
High school diploma or GED required; associates degree in paralegal studies, a paralegal certificate, or a Bachelor’s degree preferred.
1-5 years as an administrative assistant (preferably in a law firm or a corporate legal department), legal assistant, legal secretary, or paralegal. Familiarity with governmental contracting preferred.
Detail-oriented and highly organized.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and professional demeanor.
Ability to work independently, manage large workloads, and keep deadlines.
Familiarity with contract documents and terms, and ability to identify and summarize material terms.
Understanding of contract lifecycle, from development, evaluation, negotiation to approval, tracking, close-out, and day-to-day management.
Versatility, flexibility, and willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
