Title: Mortgage Compliance Officer


Location: Scottsdale, AZ

The Mortgage Compliance Officer is responsible for the oversight of ONE AMERICAN BANK’s mortgage compliance activities. This role will be responsible for ensuring the Bank’s mortgage origination and servicing operations are in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, secondary market guidelines, and internal policies and procedures.
Job Responsibilities

Maintain proficient knowledge of applicable rules and regulations including, but not limited to, Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA), Regulation B (Equal Credit Opportunity Act), Regulation X (RESPA), Regulation Z (Truth in Lending), and Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing (SAFE) Act.
Participate in the planning, executing, and reporting of mortgage compliance testing reviews to ensure compliance with applicable banking regulations, secondary market guidelines, and internal policies and procedures.
Makes recommendations for improving compliance systems and assists senior management in implementing appropriate corrective action for deficient areas.
Assist in the identification of training resources and requirements, advise the business of ongoing training needs, and participate in the delivery of training activities.
Advise on regulatory changes and compliance related questions that are raised by the business.
Review new and existing products and services to evaluate compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and best practices.
Develop and maintain written policies and procedures and make recommendations to senior management when and where appropriate.
Develop and maintain Board and senior management oversight reporting.
Participate as a member of the Audit and Compliance Senior Management Committee.
Perform other related duties as assigned.


Extensive experience and working knowledge of mortgage compliance laws and regulations.
Experience in planning, executing, and reporting on compliance testing reviews and regulatory issue validation activities
Professional certification (e.g., CRCM) or equivalent experience preferred.
